
While each mission calls for differing qualifications and skills, generally the following are the basic requirements.
Law Enforcement/Correction Personnel
- U.S. Citizen
- A minimum five years’ work experience, with five years in a position as a sworn law enforcement or correction officer, in a full-service enforcement agency, with eight years active preferred.
- Actively serving sworn law enforcement or corrections officer; separated or retired within the past five years. Prior service on international policing missions may qualify as active service time.
Judicial Personnel
These positions include prosecutors, judges and defense attorneys.
- U.S. Citizen
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Minimum five years criminal law experience in relevant specialty (10 years preferred).
Court Administration Personnel
- U.S. Citizen
- Minimum five years experience as a court administration
